Redalpine is excited to announce its investment in Knowunity (RAC VI). The digital learning platform made for and by students has raised a €10m Series A.
Knowunity provides a user friendly mobile app that provides students with everything they need to have a great learning experience. Using this platform, top students or "Knowers" can create and publish educational content designed to help "Learners" better understand course curriculum - all in their own language and tailored to their own country. Students engage and help each other through direct messaging and social features.
The digital learning platform has rapidly become the fastest growing EdTech app in Europe with over 2.4 million users. The app is currently the top learning app in Germany with more than 20’000 ratings and has recently launched in France and Poland where it became number 1 in the Appstore charts.
Sebastian Becker, Partner at Redalpine adds ”We are incredibly excited about Knowunity. The team has created an education product with unrivaled virality and user retention in multiple geographies. We believe the product has the potential to emerge as a global winner and radically improve how students consume and engage with educational content.”
The money from the financing round will be primarily used for further product development in order to guide students even more effectively through their everyday school life and to expand into more markets, offering high-quality digital education to even more students. The team is set to grow from 60 to more than 100 employees by the end of this year.
