We're excited to share that Razor Group (RAC IV), a leading global aggregator of eCommerce consumer goods businesses, has acquired German competitor The Stryze Group, in a move that underpins their strategy to capitalize on the current market environment and drive market consolidation. The takeover follows on from Razor Group's acquisitions of factory14 and Valoreo in the past year and brings the company one step closer to their vision of building a multi-billion eCommerce powerhouse.

In addition to the acquisition, Razor Group announced the second close of its €80M Series C funding round. The investment was led by Upper90, a major shareholder of Stryze, and we contributed to the round.

Razor Group acquires and scales eCommerce merchants, with a focus on category-leading Amazon FBA sellers. They then integrate these merchants into a wider operations framework and use their proprietary tech stack to streamline and scale operations and diversify their sales channels, ultimately reducing the brand's dependancy on Amazon. With their strong balance sheet, access to capital, unique technology advantage, operational edge, and experience in executing transactions quickly and effectively, we firmly believe that Razor Group is well-positioned to lead the way in the sector. The team has proven over and over again that the acquisitions they make are well thought through, strategic, and with real potential  for  scaling, and the Stryze acquisition is no exception.

Tushar Ahluwalia, CoFounder, and CEO at Razor Group, said: "We are pleased to partner with Stryze and Upper90 to further strengthen Razor's position globally. Receiving substantial new capital in the current macroeconomic context is a strong vote of confidence for Razor and shows that we are on the right track."

We're proud to play a role in Razor Group's stellar growth from as early as their seed round in 2020 and we remain committed to working closely with the team to provide hands-on guidance on all aspects of the company's journey, including follow on financing, hiring, and scaling.
