We congratulate Dr. Jan Lichtenberg, CEO InSphero AG (recently exited Redalpine Capital I portfolio company), on winning the award for Emerging Swiss Entrepreneur Of The Year 2015 in this category.
The jury was fascinated by the opportunities offered by InSphero’s innovation. It was particularly impressed by Dr. Lichtenberg’s ability to focus a diverse, international research team of top specialists on a common goal and bridge the gap between high-end research and commercialization. The coveted titles for Swiss Entrepreneur of the Year were awarded on the 23rd of October for the 18th year in a row. The distinction was again bestowed on outstanding businesspeople in four different categories – "Trade/Services", "Industry/High-Tech/Life Sciences", "Emerging Entrepreneur" and "Family Business".
The "Emerging Entrepreneur" category always features trailblazing entrepreneurs who dare to reconsider conventional practices and look at new ideas as the rule rather than the exception.
With his biotech company InSphero AG, Dr. Jan Lichtenberg aspires to bring about a revolution in testing practices in drug development, using novel systems and materials to bring greater efficiency, reliability and effectiveness to the testing process.
