chris studied law at the university of strasbourg and university of zurich. after completing his studies, he gained practical experience at a swiss law firm and in the transaction advisory department of a management consulting company, before becoming the legal counsel at an alternative investment group. prior to joining redalpine, chris helped build up the private markets division at a liechtenstein-based private bank in his role as a transaction lawyer.

as general counsel, chris is responsible for all regulatory and legal matters of redalpine and its funds. he is of the opinion that engagement with the tech sector is now unavoidable for the modern general counsel. those working in venture capital and emerging spaces are at the forefront of new, cutting-edge technologies. from breakthroughs in everything from digital health and virtual reality to blockchain and robotics, the effects of technology are noticeable across every single sector of the economy. “sometimes this requires you to be pragmatic and commercially oriented, to step away from the desk for one second in order to get the macro view.”
